​汶川 Wen Chuan

This is a commemorative installation about the 10th anniversary of the Wenchuan earthquake. Moss was glued to the clay to create the appearance of a mountain. The bamboo is carved with information about the Wenchuan earthquake and displayed on the mountain like a tombstone. The color of the bamboo also changes. The further the bamboo is burned, the darker it gets, symbolizing that the message is being forgotten.
